The Captain, again – drawn on the iPad using Sketchbook Pro while watching Spain destroy Italy in the final. The natural media brushes don’t feel that natural yet. Finding it easier to work with the AluPen than fingers alone on the screen – a stylus does help in sketching on an iPad.

While the Captain might represent an impossible ideal that would struggle in the post war, post millennium world, he certainly still has a kick-ass appeal. Missed his heyday under the great art direction of Jack Kirby. It was as an Avenger in the 1980’s Captain America drew my attention. Back then Claremont’s X-Men and Byrne’s Alpha Flight were interesting, but you knew where you stood with Cap.
